Machining center
with five cutting axis
Cast-iron, precise
and trustworthy, the new TRIM machine series is a jewel, among its machining
center of five axis to cut plastics and composites. As the MKN old model, the
new TRIM cutting center ensure great access to the working area, the cutting
jig and the material to be cut. TRIM series serves to any request in terms of
cutting speed and quality. There are many optional to be offered: feeding
system and taking parts (rotary table and linear table), faster piece fixation,
saving a precious time.
Concept of the Machine
The TRIM Series machines are 5-axis high-speed CNC machining centers. A motorized suspension bridge slides over two ends of a frame made of welded steel.
The longitudinal movement (X axis) is made by a gantry structure with optimized weight and rigidity that moves in the direction of the X axis, the transverse movement (Y axis) is made by the carriage which is mounted on the bridge and on which is mounted a vertical axis (Z) with high flexural strength for large courses.
All linear axes are managed by brushless electric motors in highly precise pinion & rack systems. The sliding blocks are of re-circulating balls and are preloaded.
The Z axis is supplied with brake devices which prevents damage in the event of a voltage drop.
The fourth axis (C) rotates the unit about the vertical axis (Z) and a fifth axis (A) tilts the tree axis in the vertical plane. The rotary axles are equipped with gearboxes having a special system to remove the gaps.
Mechanical Engineering
To achieve a machine with dynamic and rigid structure, the design has been optimized through many series of CAE calculations.
The result of this design is a unique combination of performance, short processing times, flexibility, high quality surface finish, stiffness over a long period of time and cost-effective.
Desktop
The standard work table, made of steel, is integrated with the base structure and includes threaded holes and bushings for fixing and centering.
On the edges of the table are connected the vacuum connections for fixing the parts.
As optional a wide range of solutions such as: Depression, T-Tears and dust extraction tables can be offered as options.
Scrap compartments
Underneath the table are the removable scrap compartments positioned to collect dust and "chips" that fall during the process. These drawers are equipped with wheels for removal.
Cutting unit (Spindle)
The shaft consists of an electrospindle of up to 12 kW (S1), 24,000 rpm of max.
Optional automatic tool changer
The standard fully automatic 8-tool changeover position can be mounted over the machine stroke, allowing tool changes to be made in any position along the machine. This means that the valuable processing time is not wasted by the machine having to return to a fixed position for a tool change.
Max. Length of the tool: 200 mm;
Max tool diameter: 110 mm in adjacent positions.
Powder protection bellows
The protective bellows prevent premature wear of mechanical parts when processing abrasive materials with high concentration of dust, protecting the movable parts of X, Y and Z-axis of the powder.
A dedicated and adjustable compressed air system creates an airflow within the bellows, preventing the ingress of fine dust.
Perimeter protection
To reduce noise levels and ensure safety, the machine is equipped with protections all around the perimeter.
Automatic telescopic doors run inside the front protection wall. These are provided with large windows for visual inspection and internal lighting. The doors are equipped with safety locking devices and allow access to the work area only if the machine is stationary.
Vacuum system
The vacuum system consists of a dry vacuum pump of 100 m3 / h with filter, vacuum indicator and electrovalve. A system with multiple quick couplings allows quick connection to the fixture templates.
