Application: Aeronautical application

Lakatos machines are highly present in the aeronautical parts industry, as the segment makes use of thermoformed components, especially to overlay dashboards and panels inside the planes, to manufacture tables and passengers’ side seats, magazine racks and restroom sinks. Other examples are vacuum molded helicopter cockpits and small plane canopies.

All of these parts can be made of 1 to 4 mm thick polycarbonate or ABS - both with special features for the aeronautics industry. These plastics, with special properties, are specially certified to be used in their respective segment. For part molding, sheet-fed machines are used.
